where moments become memories

Sometimes affectionately referred to as ‘Miss Sassy Pants,’ Willow has a personality and a half!  She is one of our larger females and half sister to Jingle Belle.  Willow was named after her favorite treat – willow branches! She loves to pretend she is the boss of the herd and often greets with her points first.  Although Willow has strong personality, she is also sweet and loveable.  She adores eating oats and barley from guests and will often snack directly from your hand.  She had her first baby, a girl named Cedar, on April 19th, 2023. 

Jingle Belle, half sister to Willow, is always hungry, or….she acts like she is!  When she sees guests arrive, she hops right up and heads to the gate to greet them - she knows what’s coming.  She is our largest female and (don’t tell her!) we sometimes call her the Hungry Hippo - in the most loving way possible, of course!  She is a playful reindeer who will often smile when she’s being silly. She and Willow were born on the exact same day. Jingle Belle became a first time mom to a baby girl on April 23, 2023.  Her baby was positioned in a way that required a c-section to deliver.  Successful c-sections are very rare with reindeer, but we are thrilled to report that both she and her baby, Carliese, are thriving! We call these two reindeer our miracle deer!

Holly is our picturesque Christmas Card Reindeer!  We often joke that she has been a model for Christmas cards across the world.  Her antlers are very symmetrical, and her look is exactly what you’d imagine seeing beside Santa at the North Pole.  Holly tends to be a bit shy and prefers to watch from a distance.  She does not like loud noises or sudden movements, however she won’t turn down a good snack of apple tree leaves and she loves the snow. Holly gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on April 23, 2023 who we named Ollie.  Have you seen Holly's viral Tik Tok video? Head on over to Tik Tok and search Goldendale Reindeer to see her magic!

Sprinkles is the matriarch of the farm!  She is our oldest and most gentle reindeer.  She loves showing off during our Reindeer Rumination time at the beginning of our farm tours and will walk inside our education barn to let everyone admire and learn about her.  She tends to be a bit introverted when in the pen and has a favorite spot where she likes to rest and watch the action.  She enjoys walking on a lead with guests, loves to nibble lichen, and she has the cutest little pink toes on one side of her body.  

Palmer is our gentle giant and a favorite of our guests.  We like to think of Palmer as an old soul; he seems to be able to read the energy of people very well.  Palmer’s favorite treats are raisins and he often plays with Lucky, one of our livestock guardian dogs, through the fence.   

Elvis joined our farm in July 2022.  Elvis was initially quite shy but is becoming more and more comfortable on our farm and loves to eat oats and barley directly from our guests hands.  His coat is a silvery fawn color and as you can see, his antlers are quite majestic!  He is the father of our three calves born April 2023.

Reindeer babies are magical!  We were blessed to have three reindeer calves born on the farm in April 2023.  Elvis is the proud daddy to all!  Holly had her baby girl, Ollie, on April 5th, Willow had her baby girl, Cedar, on April 19th, and Jingle Belle had her baby girl, Carliese, on April 23rd by c-section.
